• He will remain in office until June 16, when José María Benavent, Executive Chairman of the Group, will take on his duties.

• The decision is due to personal reasons and his parting has been mutually agreed.

Vigo, May 23, 2023.– Ignacio González, CEO of the Nueva Pescanova Group, will step down next June 16, after 7 and a half years in office, he joined the company on February 1, 2016. The reasons for this decision are strictly personal.  

His duties will be carried out by José María Benavent, Executive Chairman of the Group since 2020 and Chairman of the  Board of Directors, of which he was a member since 2019, his extensive experience in the company will allow him to continue with the process.

During these exciting years, Ignacio has led with determination the transformation that the company needed, and took it to the place where it is now, with a renewed and competitive fleet, innovating in aquaculture, in products, in advertising, with a revitalized brand, better compliance and processes, with sustainability and social responsibility as key strategies, a renovated culture and a rebuilt reputation.
