Barcelona, 25 May 2016.- The Spanish Association of FMCG Companies, AECOC, has appointed the CEO of Nueva Pescanova, Ignacio González, as a member of its Board of Directors. Thus, the Nueva Pescanova Group takes part in the executive discussions of one of the major business associations in our country and the only one in which manufacturers and distributors work together to improve of the FMCG sector, with the aim of providing greater value to consumers.

The Board of Directors of AECOC, as governing body, is responsible for the management, governance, administration, and representation of the business association, which brings together more than 26,000 companies, which together represent the 20% of the national GDP and employ, in our country, more than 5 million people.

With a Business degree from ICADE, Ignacio González became CEO of Nueva Pescanova in early February this year. He also holds representation positions in several of the most important fora in the FMCG industry in Spain.  He is chairman of Ecoembes and has been an active promoter of AECOC undertakings, Ignacio González had already been a member of AECOC’s Board of Directors representing Campofrío.
